What: This weekly class offers a safe and accepting environment where differences are accepted without judgment and special need participants can exercise side-by-side with their family members and other Y members. Attendees participate in a series of dances, choreographed to popular music enjoyed by youth, as well as Pilates-based exercise that exposes them to moves they would find in a number of other Y classes.

What: This event is co-sponsored by the Adaptive Learning Center and the Transition Options Program (TOPS) through Mt. Diablo Adult Education. Both organizations provide support and services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related disabilities. A $25 registration fee ($15.00 for individuals with disabilities and children under 12) will provide each participant with a custom t-shirt designed by an individual with autism. The route is just under two miles and begins at the Loma Vista Adult Center (1266 San Carlos Ave, Concord). It includes a mid-point stop for refreshments at The Adaptive Learning Center Community Garden (3227 Clayton Rd, Concord).
