Resources for Autism Families - Contra Costa County
AS/NLD Parent Support Group
Started by a parent who saw the need for a forum through which parents could share resources, ask for support, and simply coalesce around the need we have for an understanding affinity group. This support group is comprised of parents of teens or young adults with Aspergers Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism, Autism Spectrum Disorder, PDD-NOS, NLD, or similar conditions. Monthly meetings are held from 7-9:00 p.m. at Springstone School, 1035 Carol Lane, Lafayette. The 2019 meeting schedule is as follows: January 28; February 25; March 25; April 29; May 20. A family resource center serving families of children with disabilities and special health care needs. Offerings include family support groups, resources, and referrals.

Working to enrich the lives of children with special needs and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and similar conditions.
Behavioral Pediatric Clinic
at Children’s Hospital Oakland
Offers evaluations to assess the cognitive, academic, and psychosocial functioning of children and adolescents. The evaluations help identify the strengths and challenges a child or youth has so that a personalized treatment plan can be created.
