Cannabis Klatch — Interest and Registration Form
Our March 23, 2017 Cannabis Klatch was a big hit. If you would like to receive information about upcoming related events, please fill out and submit the form below. We are aware of the strong demand for information and regret our first Klatch had such a lengthy waitlist.
Many families are experimenting with medical cannabis to address behaviors, anxiety, sleep, and/or seizures associated with autism or other developmental disorders. A "Cannabis Klatch" provides an informal forum for parents, caregivers and professionals to share information in a small discussion group format.
Participants are asked to watch existing webinars (ie this one on medical cannabis for epilepsy) to obtain basic scientific and medical info ahead of the event. Attendees may also wish to explore resources at MAMMA (Mothers Advocating Medical Marijuana for Autism).
All Klatch participants agree to the following:
• You agree that personal information shared at the event is to remain confidential.
• You understand that information shared at the event does not constitute medical or legal advice.
• You understand that "autism" is not one thing, but has a variety of genomic, neurobiological, and other underpinnings. Experiences with any interventions may differ widely.

- The ingredients and labeling are not regulated or tested by the FDA
- Contents of medications may be tainted
- There is no research on efficacy or safety for cannabis in autism
- Long-term effects are unknown, and some research, for example, suggests an increased risk for psychosis in the general population
- Before giving any medication for behaviors, always rule out the existence of physical ailments causing the behaviors
- Caregivers should consult with licensed clinicians regarding the use of any drug, including the potential for adverse drug interactions.
