Data collected by the KPAFB will be available to all qualified researchers to explore the causes, treatments, and prevention of ASD. The study is open to Kaiser Permanente Northern California members with an ASD diagnosis, and their biological parents who do not need to be Kaiser members.
The goal is to recruit 5,000 family trios (child and both biological parents) to donate a blood or saliva sample from each member, and answer short questionnaires.
